This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have significant experience in specialist technical skills, or managerial business and people management skills.
Individuals in these roles carry out complex tasks in a specialist field, working independently, leading a team or a strategic direction of a business. They apply their skills across a wide range of industries and business functions, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).
The skills required for these roles may include but are not restricted to telecommunications network engineering such as managing logistics, organisational specifications, regulations and legislative requirements across network projects.
The course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom, online structured training and incorporates a simulated workplace environment and access to fully equipped training facilities at our campus. Flexible delivery is utilised at Valley International College. The various manners in which training and assessments are delivered cater to wider group of studentsAll units are delivered as stand-alone units’ delivery.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
However, Valley international College’s selection criteria is as follows:
Must be over the age of 18 or turning 18 years of age prior to commencement of their study
Must have their own laptop and appropriate software.
Must have completed at least the equivalent of Year 12 or higher.
Either a minimum IELTS* (Academic) test score of 5.5 or equivalent for direct entry into a VET course.
Valley International College will also accept equivalent test results from the following specified English Language tests – TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and Cambridge English Advanced (CAE).
English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
o Evidence that they have studied in English for at least five years in Australia. Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or the United States.
OR
o Evidence that, within two years of their application date, they have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a senior secondary certificate of education or a substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification, from the Australian Qualifications Framework.
OR
o Pre-entry Oxford Placement Test of result no less than B2 with no category lower than B1.
Please Note: All the students commencing this course are required to complete Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (LLN)on the orientation day to assist Valley International College to identify student’s needs for additional support during their study with Valley International College.
